Topics range from everyday life to passages on 'Elon Musk' and 'The Sumerians'. The Flesch Reading Ease rating of 68.4 makes it ideal for B1 ESL learners (lower intermediate). It also has an average Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level rating of 7.6 so 8th graders may find it challenging and enjoyable too. We also use LancLex to ensure that vocabulary is level appropriate for the levels indicated. This book isn't a vocabulary or grammar book (although some exercises of this type are included); it is meant as a reading book to teach skills necessary for comprehension.
If you enjoy reading then this book will provide a great way to learn; if you don't like reading then this series may help change that.
