โฆ Synopsis
It was found that the lowest temperatures for those amounts of cooled liquid He 4 shown in Table , could be kept without introducing extra power for at leat three hours. The natural heat leak of the system into the cooled He 4 was estimated 0.6 mW.
Peshkov et al 9 had also cooled liquid He 4 in a continuous circulation He 3 cryostat reaching a temperature of 0.5 K in 140 cm 3 liquid He and with a heat leak of 0.7 mW in the He 4 vessel, which was a sealed copper bulb. This new geometry used to cool liquid He 4 in an adsorption He 3 cryostat looks promising and could be improved by diminishing the heat leak in the cooled He 4 . This could be done diminishing the diameter of the tubes T1 and T2 and adding valves to the same to cut off the film effect.
