✦ Synopsis
Abstrart-SO,
oxidation in aqueous solutions catalysed with manganous sulphate was studied to determine temperature dependencies of the reaction rate. The process was carried out at relatively high sulphuric acid (reaction product) concentrations with regard to its application for SO2 removal from waste gases. Variation of the apparent activation energy has been linked with alteration of reaction rate determining steps.
