✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Three types of alloys have been studied, Al–Mg, Al–Zn, and Al–Si. The first type of alloys include Al–11.1 wt% Mg, Al–4.5 at% Mg and Al–2.5 at% Mg. The second type includes low Zn contents at 1.3% and 3.2% (at%). The third type includes alloys with Si contents of 1.37%, 2.83% and 6.81% (at%). The results have demonstrated that hardness and resistivity data can be treated to reveal the activation energy of processes, for intervals when there is enough experimental measurement data. Where relevant, the calculation results of the activation energy values are discussed. The errors due to linear regression are given. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
