โฆ Synopsis
T he Liver Disease Research Branch of the National Institutes of Health was created within the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) to bring increased visibility and focus to liver disease research at the NIH. An important initial task for the Branch was to prepare the Action Plan for Liver Disease Research. This Action Plan is now in preparation and liver disease investigators, hepatologists, physicians treating patients with liver disease, and liver disease patients and their advocates are all encouraged to have input into this document.
