โฆ Synopsis
This paper selects Equivalen t Sound Level ( Leq) and A rticula tion Index ( A I) as the ratings and as the basis for recommended acoustical standards in hotels.
We can also satisfy the quietness requirements .for work and sleep if we design the partitions between guest rooms based on the requirements for speech privacy in hotels of classes 1 and 2. An equation can be used for selecting and checking the partitions in order to satisfy these requirements.
It is shown that some kinds of the partitions meet the requirements of the quietness and speech privacy, although their Ia values ranged from 46 to 49. So, if we classify the grade of partition materials and structures solely in terms of Ia, it would not .full), reflect this fact.
