โฆ Synopsis
We postulate that rhythmically repeated movement patterns of shortterm behavior are a basal component of human movement and help structure ongoing behavior, as these sorts of movements occur widespread in any type of behavior.
In ontogeny 'rhythmic stereotypes' [5] -defined with the same critera as in our investigations -are precursors of structured movement patterns. We hypothesize that in such basic, 'at-chetypic', rhythmically repeated behavior intrinsic factors are more valid than external ones. In the case of repeated behavior movements the 'time window' of 3 s might fully be exploited, as is the case when people recite poems [3] where the rhythmic structure also exhibits a duration of approximately 3 s.
