✦ Synopsis

The aim of "European Journal of Pediatrics" is the communication of significant research documented by accurate, unambiguous data presented in an easily readable form. The style and the quality of the journal depends to a great extent on the referees, who give valuable criticism to the authors concerning the content and form of the submitted papers. These time consuming efforts are provided without reward and are highly appreciated. Quite particularly great gratitude is due to those referees who took it upon themselves to present their reasons for rejecting manuscripts which were not up to the standards of the journal.
