β¦ Synopsis
199Hg NMR spectra were measured in acetic acid, dichloromethane and chloroform for a series of mercurated arylphenylethenes derived from the acetoxymercuration of alkynes. Good linear correlations between 199Hg chemical shifts and Hammett p values, UV absorption maxima and calculated mercury atomic charge were obtained and are explained on the basis of electronic substituent e β ects.

## Abstract The ^77^Se, ^13^C and ^1^H NMR spectra of the products of phenylselenenyl azide and chloride addition to methylenecyclohexane and cyclohexene are presented. Scalar couplings between ^77^Se and ^1^H/^13^C allowed the absolute assignment of the regioisomers in the ^1^H and ^13^C spectra.
## Abstract ^14^N NQR and NMR spectroscopy were used to show that, in the solid phase, the products of nitrosation of phosphorylacetaldehydes are a mixture of dimers of 1β(dialkoxyphosphoryl)β1βnitrosoethenβ2βols and dialkoxyphosphorylacetaldnitrones. The stabilization of the nitrone form is probab
