✦ Synopsis
The conductivity (s) of sulphosalicylic acid and its composites with iron(III) sulphosalicylate (1:4 molar) is measured using impedance spectroscopy and the Hebb-Wagner polarization method. The conductance is found to be purely protonic 24 24 21 1
with typical values of s(258C) 5 4.1 3 10 and 3.0 3 10 S cm , respectively. The exchange currents at TiH u H -solid
x electrolyte interphase boundaries increase with increasing partial pressure of H in mixtures with argon.
