โœฆ Synopsis

Using installations of PVA dynamic formed membrane and CA7-pipe membrane, production tests were carried out on the separation of protein in soybean dregs and rapeseed cake by one-step and two-step methods as well as on detoxication by removal of sulfur glucoside or soap ghcoside. The membrane has excellent selectivity for protein, and its separation rate is as high as 90%. It can concentrate a protein whey content of 0.6% into 8.5% and reduce the content of sulfur glucoside or soap glucoside in rapeseed cake from 5.2% to less than 0.05% after being submerged, making it into non-poisonous feeding stuff. Soap glucoside can be removed completely through the directional design of the membrane structure. The amount of soap glucoside in the protein powder is within stipulated safety limits. These experiments clearly indicate that the technology of protein separation by membrane is applicable for industrial production.
