โฆ Synopsis
we had the opportunity to attend a joint meeting of the European Federation for Societies of Microsurgery and the International Microsurgical Society. This meeting brought together microsurgeons from all over the world, nearly 500 in all. The standard of the presentations and the workshops was of the highest calibre.
The extended abstracts published in this issue are some of those presented at the meeting. It is hoped that in due course many of these presentations will be submitted to Microsurgery as full papers for peer review.
The meeting in Corfu was the first of hopefully many in the future, where large numbers of members from different groupings can come together. It is hoped that in the future such meetings will take place on a regular basis and we will be able to have a global view of microsurgery.
