✦ Synopsis
Anions of benaophenone, acetophenone, and 4-hydroxy-benzophenone were produced in ethanol at 4.2% bj steady.7 irradiation. Their absorption spectra are signiticantly different from those obtained in ethanol at 77"K, but change into the same spectra on raising the temperature. The spectra at 4.2"K are due to the presolvated anions of these compounds.
