## Abstract We apply optical transmittance and reflectance spectroscopy, photothermal deflection spectroscopy (PDS) and laser calorimetry (LC) to evaluate optical absorption losses at rough interface between thin conductive oxide (TCO) and metal films used as backreflectors and electrical contacts
The problem of electromagnetic response and collective excitations in arrays of quantum wires and dots is solved taking into account electrodynamic (radiative) effects and the interwire (interdot) interaction. The radiative contribution ( ) to the total linewidth of collective modes is calculated. I
