## Abstract This paper presents an innovative design of a hybrid electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure based on nonuniform period and dimensions. A high rejection bandwidth is achieved when the nonuniform period and the dimensions follow the Kaiser distribution. The EBG structures are fabricated
