✦ Synopsis
Strengths of individual lines in the (\nu_{6}) degenerate fundamental at (10 \mu \mathrm{m}) of methyl chloride have been measured at room temperature using a diode laser spectrometer. From these measurements we have determined by a linearized fit two significant intensity parameters, namely, the band strength, (S_{0}^{v}=15.06 \pm 0.19 \mathrm{~cm}^{-2} \mathrm{~atm}^{-1}) at (297 \mathrm{~K}) and the parameter (\alpha=0.0081 \pm) 0.0017 of the Herman-Wallis factor (F=(1+\alpha K \Delta K+\cdots)^{2}). c 1993 Academic Press. Fourier transform spectra have been obtained at 296 K at a resolution of 0.002 or 0.004 cm -1 depending on the pressure range. Line positions and intensities of CH 3 79 Br and CH 3 81 Br belonging to the fundamental band ν 6 were measured and analyzed between 890 and 1080 cm -1 . A total of 2896 (28
Infrared absolute line intensities of the nu6 band of CH3F have been measured around 8.5 μm using a diode-laser spectrometer. These line strengths were obtained by the equivalent width method and, for 13 lines, by fitting a Rautian profile to the measured shape of the lines. From these results, we h
The purpose of this work was to obtain reliable absolute intensities for the 6 band of H 2 O 2 . It was undertaken because strong discrepancies exist between the different 6 band intensities which are presently available in the literature (A.
