✦ Synopsis
Absolute intensity measurements have been made in the n 2 fundamental band of nitrous oxide (N 2 O). The experiments were carried out independently in two laboratories and despite the fact that the two Fourier transform instruments are very different and required different data reduction techniques the results agree within the estimated experimental errors. The square of the transition dipole is found to be 4.7538(58) 1 10 03 D 2 and in addition there is a large linear Herman-Wallis factor which gives rise to an R branch that is significantly stronger than the P branch.

Absolute line intensities were measured at high resolution with a tunable diode laser. This work concerns the 2 2 0 band of cyanogen chloride ClCN in the region 780 cm Ϫ1 . Thirty-two absorption lines were recorded for the isotopomer 35 ClCN and 26 lines for 37 ClCN. From the analysis of these lines
Fourier transform spectra have been obtained at 296 K at a resolution of 0.002 or 0.004 cm -1 depending on the pressure range. Line positions and intensities of CH 3 79 Br and CH 3 81 Br belonging to the fundamental band ν 6 were measured and analyzed between 890 and 1080 cm -1 . A total of 2896 (28
Absolute intensities of PR branch transitions in the three hotbands 2n 2f 2 R n 1f 2 , 2n 2e 2 R n 1e 2 , and 2n 0e 2 R n 1e 2 have been measured using high resolution spectra recorded with the McMath FTS at the National Solar Observatory in Kitt Peak, Arizona. The two latter bands show intensity pe
The absolute strengths of 93 lines belonging to the nu2 and nu5 bands of methyl fluoride were measured in the range of 1416-1503 cm-1 using a tunable diode-laser (TDL) spectrometer. These experimental line intensities were obtained from the equivalent width method. The intensities were analyzed with
High resolution Fourier transform absorption spectra of the 14 N 16 O 2 molecule recorded in the 2630-3510 cm 01 spectral region have been analysed and lines of the n 1 / n 3 band of this molecule have been assigned for K a values ranging from 0 to 10 and N values up to 55. The spin-rotation energy
