β¦ Synopsis
Bodies and romance and zombies, oh my! Not quite what I was thinking of when I considered how I wanted to move forward, but you donβt always get what you want. Of course, I have to get out of bed if I want to get anything done, much less move forward, but thatβs a taller order than you might think. Iβm just so tired! However, life and business and death go on, whether I want it to or not. When the local sheriff office asks me to hang onto parts, Iβm not quite sure what they mean until I open the bag they sent. And itβs parts. Not whole bodies. Parts. Worse, the parts have ghosts. Who canβt stay clothed. If naked ghosts werenβt bad enough, thereβs a crazy man running around Montpier trying to bite people. On the plus side, things with me and John Henry are inβ¦ shall we sayβ¦ a much better place? Yes. Thatβs what we shall say. But who knows for how long? It was only a couple of weeks ago he was giving his notice of termination of his lease, and he was ready to leave Montpier forever. Something evil has landed in my little town and while I canβt pinpoint it, I know that if I donβt work with my ghosts, and John Henry β it could get loose and hurt a lot more than the poor people who are in my morgue.
When I thought I wanted more adventure in my life, this wasnβt what I envisioned. But you donβt always get what you want, do you? Only, I donβt think this is what I need, either. All I know is that Iβd better figure it out before I get dumped, bitten or dead. Just another normal day here, right?
