Abstract

Certain abnormalities of growth have recently been seen in specimens of the genus Gastrioceras. These take the form of a distinct groove occurring on the venter, and photographs of three specimens showing the salient features of these grooves are reproduced. Details of the abnormalities are given and their significance discussed.
