## Abstract It is shown that an edge dislocation parallel to the surface of a thin foil causes buckling of this foil by an angle of about ΞΈ = __b__/__t__. (__b__ = Burgers vector; __t__ = thickness of the foil). The angle ΞΈ depends on the position of the dislocation. It is maximum for a dislocation

## Abstract The deformation of prisms and elliptical cylinders, resulting from the presence of an arbitrary dislocation line parallel to one of the main axes of the crossβsections is discussed. It is shown that in general the specimen is both bent and twisted. The deformation appears in the electro
