Lara's village is on the verge of being seized by a new order of witches who expect all other witches to join with them in their battle against humankind – and they will not take no for an answer!
Lara is very much concerned that the new order will follow through with their threat and punish her beloved village. But at the same time, she has other pressing matters on her mind – namely her childhood friend Dwight, a witch with no magic to speak of, who is wreaking havoc on her emotions as he tries to persuade her to run away with him so they can be together and escape any potential conflict.
