Guthrie, Oklahoma, 1906

Ellie Henderson and I would be great friends! It was like following my alter ego had I been born into her world. This beautiful young schoolteacher desired a self-directed, independent life and pushed through the restrictive protocols of her time to grab it with humor, savvy, and finding the romance of her life along the way. Such an endearing and delightful story, perfect at any time but especially engaging at Christmas!
