✦ Synopsis
This letter presents a broadband reflector based on a monopole-type excitation structure. Using a moment method to optimize the different parameter structures, it is possible to use this structure on se¨eral gigahertz in a polarization di¨ersity manner. Se¨eral structures are proposed. On a¨erage, it has been seen that we could obtain, from 2 to 5 GHz, an a¨erage gain of 8 dBi, a matching always better than 10 dB, and an axial ratio around 3 dB. The structure also could be adjusted for special frequencies by optimizing a few physical parameters. This antenna is interesting for use in indoor experimental communication systems as a test for polarization di¨ersity.
