We have recently described the isolation and structural elucidation of two carbonimidic dichlorides l_ and 2 from the Indo-Pacific sponge Pseudaxinyssa pitys.

2 In this and the following paper3 we wish to describe the structural elucidation of the minor metabolites of P pitys. This paper describes the _* structural elucidation by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of a carbonimidic dichloride 2 in which the carbonimidic dichloride moiety is conjugated to a diene system.
