## Abstract **Summary:** Thin films of nematic and cholesteric side‐chain polymers containing reactive benzophenone units can be macroscopically oriented by electric/magnetic fields or surface interactions. After UV‐irradiation, liquid single crystal elastomers (LSCEs) are formed. With this simple,
