## Abstract Proton magnetic resonance studies of the pyridine and ฮณโ€picoline complexes of trimethylโ€and triethylthioboranes provide strong evidence that the __p__~ฯ€~โ€”__d__~ฯ€~ bonding in the boronโ€sulphur bond is much weaker than the __p__~ฯ€~๏ฃฟ__p__~ฯ€~ bonding in the boronโ€oxygen bond.
