✦ Synopsis
It is essential to make an estimation of the performance of torque converter within a limited period in the process of designing an automatic transmission.
This paper reports the newly developed simulation method, worked out after considering the difference in torque capacity between the calculation with the theory of angular momentum and the measurement taken in testing. It uses the compensation of the outlet flow angle of a stator as the parameter, and has proved a simplified and practical simulation method which helps work on its design and development.
