A study on the vapour pressures of polar substances has been carried out. Using a Wagner type vapour pressure equation, a new correlation based on the four-parameter corresponding states has been established. Only one parameter has to be obtained from experimental data. Vapour pressures calculated for 40 substances produced an average absolute deviation of 0.95%. The results were compared with those obtained using the methods of Brandani (Ind.
