Abstract

A novel multi‐frequency transformer is developed based on the dual frequency transformer technique. The transmission line analysis shows that for a return loss of βˆ’10 dB, the three‐pole transformer can achieve 160% bandwidth when compared with 60% of the dual frequency transformer. For verification, a novel UWB LTCC multilayer transition from CPW to microstrip is developed. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A compact microstrip band‐selective filter for ultra‐wideband (3.1–10.6 GHz) radio system is proposed. The filter combines an optimum pseudo‐bandpass filter and a coupled resonator bandstop filter on both sides of the meandered 50‐Ω microstrip line. Three coupled resonators are modified
