✦ Synopsis

The Computer Committee of the ARA has continued actively reviewing the Database. Since 1976, two further module formats (numbers 8 and 9) incorporating changes and improvements have been made available to those interested in Database use. A number of the participants in the first two workshops became actively identified with the project and expanded their interest and commitment to become part of ARAMIS (American Rheumatism Association Medical Information Sys- tem). Three years of funding were obtained through an HEW grant which was recently renewed for three more years. This multi-institutional Rheumatic Disease Computer Database system is an evolving one directed at major clinical problems in the rheumatic diseases. All components of the project utilize the ARA Uniform Database.
