✦ Synopsis
Abstract
We describe the QoS‐based rerouting algorithm that is designed to implement a two‐phase inter‐switch handoff scheme for wireless ATM networks. We propose to use path extension for each inter‐switch handoff, and invoke path optimization when the handoff path exceeds the delay constraint or maximum path extension hops constraint. We study three types of path optimization schemes: combined QoS‐based, delay‐based and hop based path rerouting schemes. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

In this article we describe an improved rate-based congestion control scheme for Available Bit Rate (ABR) service in ATM networks. The analytical results are presented and the characteristics of the designed scheme are illustrated by using simulation results.

## Abstract A method is proposed for the retrieval of phase‐related quantities from magnitude‐only measurements on microwave networks that are to be manufactured and tested in large quantities. A reduced‐order model is developed using the prototype of such a system and then used to retrieve the pha
