✦ Synopsis

The NPE model is widely used for the prediction of high-intensity pulse waveforms in the time domain when propagating through water. The model has more recently been used for weakly non linear propagation in air. This tutorial paper presents a detailed derivation leading to this important equation which gives insights into the mathematical model
