✦ Synopsis
In this paper, we study the possibility of replacing metal by conducting polymer in the formation of 3D metallic photonic crystals. Subject to obtaining the highest conductivity, it is possible to obtain similar comportment between metallic and polyaniline structures. Aspects of technological interest, such as reduction of cost and the weight of the structure, are discussed.
