โœฆ Synopsis


A global three dimensional model for numerical weather prediction is described. It uses spheric harmonic basis functions with triangular truncation in the horizontal and a finite element discretization for the vertical. Model experiments are used to compare this model with another version, which uses a finite difference scheme for vertical discretization.
