✦ Synopsis
A thermally induced conformational change of zwitterionic groups of two polymers has been observed by thermally stimulated depolarization currents. Different dipole moments of the two conformations is a prerequisite. The appearance of peaks of opposite sign confirms the process. Giant dielectric constants can be obtained at room temperature using high-temperature poling and rapid cooling.
