โœฆ Synopsis

A comparatively simple method for predicting the excess attenuation of traffic noise from individual motor vehicles is derived. The method is equally useful for depressed, level and elevated roads with and without barriers and all geometrical dimensions can be chosen arbitrarily. Finally it is shown how this method can be used to predict Le,a from freely flowing road traffic.
