Abstract

The structure of 1‐hydroxy‐8‐methoxyanthraquinone‐3‐carboxylic acid, previously obtained by the action of dimethyl sulphate on the sodium salt of synthesized rhein monoglucoside, has now been confirmed by synthesis.
