✦ Synopsis
In this paper, a synchronous acquisition method for the DS/SS system in large unknown sequence interference is proposed and its performance is evaluated. The method can eliminate interference without knowing the PN sequence of other stations. The use of an unknown sequence interference elimination circuit is determined by the difference in correlation of the signal received due to the SIR. If the interference by other stations is small, then synchronous acquisition is carried by the conventional sliding correlation method. If the interference is large, an interference elimination circuit is used, and after the elimination of interference, synchronous acquisition is carried with the residual signal. By applying the method, the acquisition time of synchronization is improved in comparison with a system that adds a special synchronous sequence in the base-band model. When a carrier exists, an interference elimination circuit using the Costas loop is proposed and the validity of the circuit is demonstrated.
