✦ Synopsis

The first part of this two part series examined the effect of fibre frequencies on evidential value. In the second part the evaluation and reporting of fibres evidence is considered.

Responses to examples of case scenarios are examined and the degree of variation in assessing the strength of the evidence in these were evaluated using a verbal probability scale. Opinions were sought on the extent of the information which it might be useful to include in fibre casework reports. In the light of the results from the survey, and ideas put forward in publications advocating the use of a Bayesian approach to evaluate fibres evidence, some suggestions are made about how improvements in the reporting of fibres evidence may be achieved.

## BACKGROUND. Despite the characteristic histopathologic appearance of alveolar soft-part sarcoma (ASPS), its histogenesis remains unclear, and cytogenetic analysis of ASPS is limited to eight cases so far because of the extreme rarity of this disease. ## METHODS. The authors document a cytoge
