โฆ Synopsis
ports is below ฯช30 dB across the bandwidth. Good broadside radiation patterns were observed, with cross-polar levels below ฯช20 dB at both the E-and H-planes. Compared to previous designs (in [12], for example), this antenna is simpler in structure and lower in cost, as only one patch is used. It also has advantages such as broad bandwidth, high isolation between two input ports, and low cross-polarization levels. Due to its use of proximitycoupled feeds, it is easy to form arrays by using this antenna as an element. Thus, it is promising for practical applications in mobilecommunication systems.
