A microphone probe was developed whose frequency response was improved by damping organ-pipe resonance, and applied to the turbulence measurements in premixed turbulent flames of Bunsen-type. The time-mean values and fluctuating components of local dynamic pressure in flames were determined. Intermittent peaks and valleys of dynamic pressure were observed around the flame zone probably ascribable to gas pockets of discontinuous density. The dynamic pressure data suggested that a flame cone worked as a barrier against eddies diffusing inwards.
