โฆ Synopsis
The photoluminescent (PL) properties of new red-emitting praseodymium-activated strontium indates have been investigated. A series of SrIn 2 O 4 : x Pr 3ุ (x โซุโฌ 6.25 ุ 10 ุ 4 , 0.5%, 2%, and 4%) phases were synthesized and found to exhibit red emission. With di4erent levels of Pr 3 ุ doping, the absolute brightness, CIE chromatic characteristics, PL and cathodoluminescence spectra, and luminescence decay lifetime ( R ) for SrIn 2 O 4 :xPr 3 ุ have been systematically investigated. The results are reported and their implications are discussed. 2001 Academic Press
