โœฆ Synopsis

The photoluminescent (PL) properties of new red-emitting praseodymium-activated strontium indates have been investigated. A series of SrIn 2 O 4 : x Pr 3ุ‰ (x โ€ซุโ€ฌ 6.25 ุ‹ 10 ุŠ 4 , 0.5%, 2%, and 4%) phases were synthesized and found to exhibit red emission. With di4erent levels of Pr 3 ุ‰ doping, the absolute brightness, CIE chromatic characteristics, PL and cathodoluminescence spectra, and luminescence decay lifetime ( R ) for SrIn 2 O 4 :xPr 3 ุ‰ have been systematically investigated. The results are reported and their implications are discussed. 2001 Academic Press

The e4ect of host compositions on the luminescent properties of spinel-type ZnGa 2 O 4 phosphors was investigated by systematic substitution of Cd 2ุ‰ for Zn 2ุ‰ in the host lattice. A continuous solid solution with the composition (Zn 1ุŠx Cd x )Ga 2 O 4 (04x41.0) was synthesized at 9503C as self-acti
