During the summer of 1962 the opportunity was provided by the generosity of tho Instituto Tropical de Investigaciones Cientificas, Universidad de El Salvador, to study biological features of some of the Salvadoranean lakes. Travel expenses were covered by a travel grant kindly provided by faculty research funds from Western Reserve University.
