Abstract

The terminated Hermite lossless nonuniform transmission line (HLNUTL) in the steady state is studied in this paper. Due to the complicated equations associated with HLNUTLs, numerical simulations based on Mathematica software are convenient for understanding the propagation physics of HLNUTLs. It is found that HLNUTLs have distinct characteristics compared to other types of transmission lines. For example, it is necessary to match HLNUTLs with reactive loads. The results are verified through case studies by checking the power conservation. ยฉ 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
