โฆ Synopsis
T (LAP) and y-glutamyl transpeptidase (GT) are widely distributed in human tissues and fluids.
Diagnostically significant elevations of both peptidases in the serum are related almost exclusively to diseases of the liver, bile ducts, or pancreas.lv 2+ 4, 7-10 Both serum LAP and GT are regularly elevated in the presence of hepatic jaundice.
This report describes (1) the results of concomitant serum LAP and GT assays in anicteric patients with cancer; and (2) a comparison of these tests with other conventional tests of liver function in anicteric patients with liver metastases.
