โฆ Synopsis
Individualism and competition characterise the world of business and capitalism, according to the traditional view. This study draws attention to the embeddedness of the values relating to this interpretation in Anglo-American national cultures. Various themes are drawn together from the complex interdisciplinary literature, covering national political economies, key cultural dimensions in crosscultural management studies, personality types, and networks. Coverage of these themes provides a means of illustrating the extent to which communitarianism and cooperation also form, increasingly today, an integral element of management, industry and capitalist economies.
