✦ Synopsis

Daytime and nighttime mean temperature and humidity values are used to calculate a monthly Comfort Index for 41 stations in Greece. These indices are related to heat and cold stress using a psychrometric chart and combined to provide values of Annual Stress, Proportional Cumulative Stress, and Annual Physioclimatic Regime following the methods proposed by Terjung (1966,1967). In addition alternative methods of showing the temporal and spatial distribution of the parameters are considered and illustrated.
