Cache performance is analyzed for the independent reference model (IRM) of data reference in conjunction with the least recently used (LRU) cache block replacement policy. The method has low computational complexity and high accuracy. The method computes the cache-hit rate, the probabilities of vari

โฆ Synopsis
The results of a partial simulation of an analytical plotter first described at the International Photogrammetric Conference on Aerial Triangulation held in Ottawa, Canada in August, 1957 are presented. The simulation was carried out using a commercially available general purpose analog computer and specially prepared input and output equipment. Some of the factors in the study which would affect the extension of the results given to those obtainable with a completed instrument are discussed.
