✦ Synopsis
The energies associated with the interaction and perturbation of model systems simulating drug and receptor have been predicted. The hypothesis of remote recognition of preferred conformation has been tested and found to be valid in these model systems.

Using the in situ perfused rat liver model, the effect of erythromycin (Ery) on the disposition of cyclosporin A (CyA) and the major human metabolite, AMl, was investigated. Prior to perfusion experiments, oral dosing was carried out for three days on three groups of male Sprague-Dawley rats (300-35
The mechanism of the sodium amide initiated amination of pyridine, known as the Chichibabin reaction, was investigated at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d) level of theory. Although this reaction has been known for more than one hundred years, it remains a very useful and sometimes unique method for the synthesis
