This article is concerned with the comparison of slope estimator precision in regression analysis and the structural relationships approach (e.g., HIJMAK, 1983, ch. 3; -ALL and STUART, 1977). as it is relevant for their applications when testing for initial value dependence in biomedical and behavio

β¦ Synopsis
Some experimental methods applied to biological investigations allow to find a number q of homogeneous discrete components t h a t determine a structure of the object in the study and the t o establish the presence of some components froin these q in compositions of other n objects. Such datn form a ~X Q incidence matrix. I n this paper a statistical approach is suggested for revealing the associated components in two different structures of the object. The procedure is based on joint codsideration of two sampling incidence matrices. An application of this method is demonstrated by analysis of relationships between antigens and proteins of one strain of cyanobacteria. The method may be useful in different scientific areas, e.g. psychology, when direct. experimental coinpnrison of components froin two structures is difficult.

## Abstract According to the three classifications of nucleotides, we introduce a sort of binary coding method of RNA secondary structures. On the basis of this representation, we can reduce a RNA secondary structure into three binary digit sequences. We also propose coding rules based on the exclu
A kinetic method for hyperbolic-elliptic equations is presented in this paper. In the mixed type system, the coexistence of liquid and gas and the phase transition between them are described by the van der Waals-type equation of state (EOS). Because the fluid is unstable in the elliptic region, the
The new translation method for Slater-type orbitals (STOs) previously tested in the case of the overlap integral is extended to the calculation of two-center two-electron molecular integrals. The method is based on the exact translation of the regular solid harmonic part of the orbital followed by t
The paper proposes a two-level decomposition method for shape optimization of structures. The optimization problem is divided into two subproblems on the basis of the different effects on structural behaviour of different kinds of design variables. A minimum mass subproblem is solved to determine th
